Cockatiels are a standard accepted species at Ottawa Bird House. We ask about feeding, sleep, handling, medication and recent health so the care plan can be reviewed before your travel dates are confirmed.
Using the bird’s familiar cage helps preserve the arrangement of perches, toys and sleep setup. Bring enough of the usual food and describe any cover schedule, bedtime routine, handling preference or other habit we should follow.
Medication, health care, special diets and strict routines are not treated as afterthoughts. The funnel asks about each one directly and requires details when you answer yes.
If your cockatiel has recently been sick, is recovering or has shown unusual symptoms, disclose it in the request. A recent illness does not automatically mean no, but the dedicated separate-care area must be available and the care needs must be something we can safely accommodate.
